- Soft Washing
Soft washing is the use of water-based, biodegradable chemicals to break down dirt and grime, remove bug nests and webs, kill mold, mildew, algae and bacteria – leaving the surface clean and sanitized.
Soft washing uses just one-third of the water that pressure or power washing does, lasts 4 - 6 times longer, and doesn't wear down or harm the surface like power washing frequently can. Soft washing also does a lot more than pressure washing because it does more than just clean your roof. The products used in the SoftWash System do not simply tidy; they penetrate, sanitize, and completely remove the root of the problem.
Treating your roof with soft washing is more like bug control – the combination of safe, biodegradable chemicals guarantee that the bacteria that create buildup are not just partially swept away, but eradicated completely.
Roof Cleaning and Beyond
Soft washing can be carried out on a multitude of surfaces where algae and bacteria grow. The same bacterium that creates black streaks on roofs can also grow on:
- Vinyl Siding
- And more…
If you're searching for a way eliminate what's growing on the surface of your roof, deck or fence, break the cycle of irritating power washing and use an option that can eliminate the issue 100%.
Eco-Friendly, Biodegradable Chemicals in SoftWash
Oftentimes, people are scared of the word "chemicals," however it's actually not such a dirty word. Everything is a chemical, even water (hydrogen dioxide).
The chemicals utilized in soft washing help break down pollutants and infestations, so they can be easily rinsed away. They do all the work without all the pressure. Our chemicals are water based, ship non-hazardous, and are biodegradable, meaning they break down into carbon and water within twenty (20) days after their introduction into the environment; leaving no contaminants behind.
4 Reasons to Soft Wash Your Home
There are plenty of reasons to choose soft washing over pressure or power washing, but here are our biggest reasons:
- Substitute for power washing
Power washing creates erosion and strips away materials that may have been loosened up by decomposition or aging. It might be appropriate for some jobs and not others.
- It actually treats the infestation
Your house isn't just dirty – it's contaminated. Normal power washing simply removes the outer layer of this growth and does not fix the root of the problem, leaving your surface vulnerable again not long after power washing is completed.
- No damage from pressure
Inadequately trained or inexperienced pressure washers can cause severe damage to a roof or other surfaces, particularly if it's older to begin with.
- More eco-friendly cleaning option
Power washers use from 3 to 8 gallons of water per minute (gpm). In one hour of cleaning a power washer can utilize from 180 gallons upwards to 480 gallons of water. On the other hand, soft washing just applies approximately 60 gallons of cleaning solution, which is comprised of about 40 gallons of water.
The cleaning solution is so powerful that it lasts 4 – 6 times longer than pressure washing, making it more viable for the environment and your wallet.
